Retreat Etiquette
When using a communal sauna, adhering to proper etiquette ensures a comfortable and positive experience for everyone. Here are our key sauna etiquette tips:
Privacy is Priority
At REJUUV-N we encourage social wellness. However, we do understand that the retreat can be used as a private space as well, so please be mindful of others.
As REJUUV-N encourages social wellness, we encourage you to turn off your cell phone for both privacy and peace while you remain present.
Communication is Key
If you’re uncomfortable with someones behavior, speak up and communicate calmly. If you feel you need assistance in handling a situation, please let our staff know so we can help you.
Personal Space
While our retreat may yield some more intimately sized areas, it is important to, whenever possible, ensure that everyone enjoying the retreat around you is afforded a reasonable amount of personal space.
Appropriate Attire
Ensure that your bathing suit is appropriate for wear within a group setting. Towel/Wrap or robes are recommended when not using the sauna or cold plunge. Personal undergarments are not sterilized and therefore should not be worn in the therapy areas.
Preparedness
REJUUV-N recommends everyone to bring their own towels, robe, sandals and water bottle to enjoy our space.
Please note: For safety, no glass water bottles are permitted.
Should you forget yours, we will have a limited supply of towels and sandals. These items are available at a small fee of $2 each.
Alcohol & Substance Use
For the safety and well-being of all our guests, Rejuuv-N maintains a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drug use on our premises. The use of these substances can impair judgment, impair health and affect your experience, so we kindly ask that you refrain from consuming them before or during your visit. Your cooperation ensures a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Cleanliness
Showers are provided in an effort to maintain the cleanliness of therapy areas.
Please take a quick shower prior to a sauna or cold plunge to remove any lotions, fragrances, makeup and deodorants. This supports not only a better environment for all users, but a more impactful session for you personally to allow your body to breath and sweat accordingly.
After your session, please wipe down the bench/seat with your towel, to ensure it’s clean for the next user.
REJUUV-N staff regularly clean the benches daily with mild soap, but we appreciate your between-session maintenance.
Hydration
Drink plenty of water before, during and after your sauna session to stay hydrated.
REJUUV-N provides a water bottle fill station as well as hot tea.
NO GLASS water bottles permitted.
Hygiene
REJUUV-N supplies each of our clients a Turkish hand towel to sit on in the sauna to avoid the natural oils of the skin from coming into contact with the benches.
Showers
Please remember that this is a communal space and not your personal shower. Time must be managed respectfully.
We also ask that you refrain from clearing your sinuses in the shower, for hygiene purposes.
Please dry off thoroughly before entering the sauna.
Cycle Awareness
Be mindful of the amount of time and cycles you use when in the sauna. It is recommended to ease into sauna for first time users and beginners, this could be in the range of 10-15 minutes per cycle. Please review the recommended cycle schedule.
Its important that everyone knows to pay attention to their own body and its capability. This is a non-competitive activity, with serious health risks associated with improper use.
Respect your allotted booking time to ensure everyone has an opportunity to use the benefit from their sauna experience.
Personal & Political Views
REJUUV-N observes a peaceful approach to social wellness within the facility by discouraging the open discussion of political & personal views.
This is an inclusive experience for all members, as well as a judgement-free zone.
Overall, respect and consideration for others are essential for a positive communal experience. Adhering to these etiquette tips help us create a comfortable and respectful environment for all members.
